About Us
Norman’s Electronics was founded in 1955 by Mr. E. H. Norman, a World War II veteran who attended TV and Radio trade school on the GI Bill. The first location stood proudly on Clairmont Road near Peachtree-DeKalb Airport, where Mr. Norman began offering both sales and service for records, hi-fi systems, and televisions.
In those early years, Norman’s was one of only three record stores in Atlanta—and even sold one of the first color televisions ever purchased in the city. As national chain stores began to dominate TV and record sales, Mr. Norman focused his business exclusively on service, building a reputation for craftsmanship and honesty that still defines us today.
Having served in Okinawa at the end of the war, Mr. Norman developed a deep respect for the Japanese people and their engineering excellence. When Japanese brands like JVC, Sony, Hitachi, and Yamaha entered the U.S. market, Norman’s became one of the first independent service centers qualified to repair them—relationships that continue to this day.
Today, Norman’s Electronics proudly serves customers throughout the United States, offering expert repairs on audio, video, and home appliances. We’re the authorized regional service center for renowned brands including McIntosh, Yamaha, Denon, Marantz, Onkyo, and Pioneer.
Whether you ship your unit to us for warranty or out-of-warranty repair, or schedule onsite service in the metro Atlanta area, you’ll receive the same level of care and integrity that’s been our hallmark since 1955.
At Norman’s Electronics, honesty, integrity, and customer commitment have guided every repair and every relationship for seven decades—and they still do.
