Service Fees & Diagnostics
At Norman’s Electronics, we believe in transparent pricing and honest service from the very first call. Below are our standard diagnostic fees for in-home appliance service and in-shop electronics repair.
In-Home Appliance & TV Service
For service calls within the Metro Atlanta area, we charge a $110 trip & diagnostic fee, which covers travel and a full on-site evaluation by one of our experienced technicians.
Parts and labor are extra, but if you approve the repair, the trip fee is applied toward the final cost.
If you decline the repair, the $110 serves as a diagnostic-only charge.
Audio, Hi-Fi, and Electronics Bench Fees
For equipment brought or mailed into our shop—such as receivers, amplifiers, turntables, and other high-fidelity audio gear—we charge a bench & diagnostic fee to evaluate your unit before providing an estimate.
Standard audio equipment: $119 bench & diagnostic fee per item.
High-end / vintage / specialty gear: $139 bench fee per item (e.g., McIntosh, Marantz, Pioneer Elite, reel-to-reel decks, tube amplifiers)
You pay for shipping to us and we bill shipping at cost to return the item(s) to you.
Parts and labor are extra, but partial or full bench fees may be applied to the balance, depending on the complexity of the repair.
If you decide not to complete the repair, the bench & diagnostic fee is not refundable.

Our warranty does not cover food loss, loss of use, or incidental damages. Coverage applies to single-family residential use only. To remain eligible for warranty protection, your appliance must be properly installed according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and maintained in good working condition.
